📍Udaipur ➡️ Chittorgarh Fort

It was Day 2 in Udaipur, Rajasthan. We planned to visit Chittorgarh.
👉Chittorgarh Fort

Chittorgarh Fort is an UNESCO world Heritage site, and it is spread over an area of 692 acres.

We booked a local cab for our tour to Chittorgarh, we started from our hotel at 8: 00am, as it was a long journey (110 kms from our hotel) we planned on starting early so that we can reach back early and can spend whole day at the fort without any rush.

We took a halt on the highway while going for some tea, and overall it took around 2hours to reach Chittorgarh. While going to the fort we took ticket for Car Parking Rs.40 and an entry fees of Rs.40 per person. While taking tickets you can also ask for Guide.

When we entered the Fort, our first stop was at Rana Kumbha Palace, the walls and surrounding was filled with so many stories, we walked around the palace and clicked photos. We spent around 1 hour , exploring the palace.

Our next stop was Fateh Prakash Palace Museum, inside the Museum there were so many beautiful Portraits, and there were many informative writings about the Palace. Museum had an entry fees of Rs.20 per person.

After this we stopped at Meera Temple, the architecture was very beautiful.

Next we went to Vijaya Stambha, and it holds so many historic stories. We walked around the area and experienced the architecture’s beauty.

Next we went to Maharani Padmavati Palace, it was also very beautiful & serene

Our next stop was at Suraj Pol, the entry gate of Chittorgarh Fort, the Panoramic view was very nice. The pillars stands strong and looked marvellous.

Our last stop was at Kirti Stambha, and we were spellbound by the architecture.

Next we made a stop for lunch and we had local Rajasthani Food. 

Ganesh Ji who drove us till the fort, helped us in explaining the history of the fort. Post lunch we started towards our hotel and on the highway we took a halt near a dhaba to have some famous Kachori.

Our Full Day trip costed Rs.3500 and it was all worth the experience.
